Salesforce.com Acquires Social Productivity Tool

Read Information Week article 
It is interesting to watch a lot of companies try to get to mass markets for things like mobile phones etc. Consider this....If the Chinese government is moving its railway system from cash to credit cards it will require millions of point of sale terminals and a sophisticated enterprise class billing application.  Who is providing applications that are enterprise class in the cloud?
